Maintenance Completed – Service Levels Returned to Normal

Hi Membee Users,

The scheduled maintenance has been completed and we’re happy to report the migration to AWS was successful.

While we optimize the data center, it is unlikely that Membee will be offline for such an extended maintenance period moving forward.

Service Temporarily Offline For Scheduled Maintenance

Hi Membee Users,

The scheduled maintenance to migrate to Amazon Web Services (AWS) has begun and Membee’s services are temporarily offline until 6:00 AM EDT. This includes the following:

  • You will not be able to log into Membee (i.e 1111.membee.com)
  • Membee features embedded on your website will not be available (i.e. sign up forms, event calendar, etc)
  • Membee Complete websites will not be affected. Only the embedded membership and event features will not be available

We will continue to keep you updated on the progress and the completion of the migration.

On Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 3:00 AM – 6:00 AM EDT, we will be be introducing some improvements to the data center and completing the data migration to AWS.

During the three-hour maintenance window:

  • You will not be able to log into Membee (i.e 1111.membee.com)
  • Membee features embedded on your website will not be available (i.e. sign up forms, event calendar, etc)
  • Membee Complete websites will not be affected and will remain active. Only the embedded membership and event features will not be available

After the completion of this maintenance, it is unlikely that Membee will be offline for such an extended maintenance period moving forward.

AWS Migration Delayed – Membee Returned to Normal Service Levels

Hi Membee Users,

While we were able to migrate your data to AWS, an unexpected issue was encountered during the migration.

Smaller supporting files such as reports, images, and other files were taking far longer to transfer than they did during our testing. This would have extended the process beyond the declared maintenance period.

As a result, the migration to AWS was not completed and Membee was restarted in the existing data center, Pivotree. Membee has returned to normal service levels.

Moving forward, with this issue identified, we’ll be working with AWS to speed up the transfer of smaller supporting files.

We are disappointed that the migration was unsuccessful and we apologize for any inconvenience at this time.
