Precautionary Maintenance July 20, 2017

Hi Everyone,

An emergency patch is scheduled to be applied to our data storage system. There are no issues, but this patch is being applied to help prevent future problems from occurring.

The patch will be applied July 20, 2017 between 3:00 AM EDT (UTC -4) and 4:00 AM EDT. At some point during this time, Membee may be offline completely for a few minutes as systems refresh with the updates.

We will be monitoring this process and we will give Membee a thorough once over when the updates are finished.

Thanks,

Membee Customer Service Team

Update 2: Membee Service Disruption

Hi Everyone,

While Membee is currently 100% accessible, we are continuing to investigate potential issues. Out of an abundance of caution, it is possible access may be intermittent. Until we are confident that Membee has returned to its usual reliable self, we will continue to monitor and make adjustments.

Any updates will be posted here in Membee Status.

Thanks,

Membee Customer Service Team

Update 2: Membee Login Services Unavailable for Some Users

Hi Everyone,

Access to Membee’s outward facing services have been restored so visitors to your site looking to join, renew, register for an event, etc. can now do so. Login access to the back end to your copy of Membee has also been restored so all aspects of Membee are back up and running.

We’re not done on this issue quite yet as the focus now shifts to determining exactly how access to Membee was lost and then taking the necessary steps to prevent a future occurrence of this issue.

We are still watching it like a hawk and can’t rule a temporary interruption over the next few hours but as things stand right now, everything looks like it has returned to normal.

Thanks for your patience!

Precautionary Server Maintenance May 17, 2017

Hi Everyone,

You might have noticed in the news that a global cyber attack labelled “WannaCry” or ‘WannaCrypt’, infecting 300,000+ computers across 150 countries with ransomware. The purpose of ransomware attacks are to extort payment from individuals who click a link and in doing so, release the ransomeware onto their machine. This malicious software encrypts their data and requires a payment in order to “unlock” the machine.

While individual people and their machines are the target of such attacks, out of an abundance of caution, we are applying the Microsoft MS17-010 patch to Membee’s primary servers. The patch will be applied May 17, 2017 between 12:00 AM EDT (UTC -4) and 4:30 AM EDT. At some point during this time, Membee may be offline completely for a few minutes as systems refresh with the updates.

We will be monitoring this process and we will give Membee a thorough once over when the updates are finished.
