A new build of Membee has been tested and posted to the production servers. We have dedicated this build to a shopping list of small items focusing on saving both users and members clicks, steps, and time. Highlights include:

• Event & Attendee Parameters can now be set to “required” which will require the fields to be completed by a user completing an event registration
• The popular Quick Search feature has been extended to the
  • Events page – search by Event name
  • Committees page – search by Committee name
  • Directory page – search by Directory name
• The “type ahead” search on the Quick Event Sales form has been enhanced to bring it to the standard used elsewhere in Membee and now searches in both a person’s first and last name
• The cursor no longer returns to the Quick Search field on the People & Organizations page following an edit to a member record

Membee’s managed hosting partner will be completing some important infrastructure upgrades to Membee’s hosting environment on Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 12:00am Midnight Eastern Time (04:00 am UTC) to 8:00am Eastern Time (12:00pm Noon UTC).   As a result of these upgrades, Membee’s administrative interface and Membee-hosted websites may be inaccessible for periods of time during this window.    

As always, we will work to minimize any disruption to users and website visitors.   This time frame has been chosen as it is the lowest traffic period on our servers by a significant margin, and thus will affect the lowest possible number of users.

Hardware upgrades and other extensions to Membee’s hosting infrastructure are necessary in order to continue to maintain and enhance the speed and reliability of our service.

• Underlying processes for gathering address information for some of Membee’s most popular reports were revised to eliminate a sporadic error message and in our tests, cut processing time by 91% on huge data sets
• Further optimization of the Service Center Updates focusing on inbound changes made by the member in their online member profile has eliminated a number of steps making it even faster to accept the member’s changes into Membee
